First Ever "New Nebraska" Endorsement

by Kyle Michaelis
In Lincoln, Vote on May 3rd for...

It's refreshing and inspiring to see a leader who actually lives, votes and makes a stand for the family values agenda on which he runs. Terry Werner's emphasis on community and restoring the dignity of working people is sensible public policy at its most compassionate.

These past four years, Werner's voice has been a beacon of hope for a better city shared by all. More than just a defender of our neighborhoods, he has proven himself a man of vision empowering all citizens to create a more vibrant and united Lincoln.

A city gets the elected representatives it deserves. In Terry Werner, we have just the representative this city needs. I look forward to four more years of his distinguished service and putting people first.

I'm glad you didn't pull a Journal Star and run a bunch of liberal-leaning commentaries all year long and then endorse the Republican out of nowhere. ;)

I don't know that I agree about the Journal-Star's "liberal-leaning" commentaries, but there certainly is a disconnect between their words and their endorsements. When it gets right down to it, you have real human beings writing their regular editorials but a giant corporation dictating their endorsements. Eventually they'll address the problem by having the corporation approve every editorial, driving one more nail in the coffin of the free press. Until then, we can all enjoy these absurd attempts to actually justify voting for candidates like George W. Bush and Robin Eschliman.
